From Designer to Digital Agency Founder
My Journey Through Creativity, Risk & Growth
I’m Santha Kumar, and I come from a small town in Tamil Nadu called Virudhunagar, where I was born in 1992.
Like many others from small towns, I grew up with big dreams, but I never imagined that my path would lead to building a digital marketing agency with clients across industries.
What started as curiosity for design slowly evolved into a deeper passion for marketing, branding, and helping businesses grow through digital strategy.
The Early Days: Curiosity Meets Code & Creativity
In 2013, I completed my B.Sc in Information Technology from my hometown. I always felt that city life had more to offer — more exposure, more opportunities.
That led me to Coimbatore, where I pursued an M.Sc. in IT.
But something unexpected happened during that time: I discovered a deep interest in design.
While most of my classmates focused on programming or networking, I was drawn to visual storytelling. That passion led me to complete a Diploma in Graphic Design alongside my degree.
My First Step: From a Designer to a Thinker
In 2015, I started my professional journey as a Graphic Designer at a USA-based company working on Yellow Pages.
It was my first real experience in the professional design world, and I spent two years there sharpening my skills.
But I wanted more. I wasn’t just interested in designing — I wanted to understand how design fits into marketing.
So, I left that job and joined a digital marketing agency.
A Shift in Perspective: Learning What Truly Builds Brands
That new role was a turning point. I went from being “just a designer” to becoming a full-stack creative marketer.
I started learning:

- ✔ Social Media Marketing
- ✔ Media Planning
- ✔ Paid Advertisements
I was no longer just making things look good — I was helping brands communicate, connect, and convert.
COVID — The Turning Point I Didn’t Expect
When COVID hit, everything changed. Like many others, I had to return to my hometown. Work-from-home became the new normal.
But instead of seeing it as a setback, I saw it as a signal.
“What if I started something of my own?”
That thought slowly became a plan — and that plan eventually became Adshub Media.
Building Adshub Media: From Scratch to Scale
At first, it was just me. One person. One laptop. One vision.
I quit my full-time job and put everything into building Adshub Media — a creative-led, performance-focused digital marketing company.
Slowly, one client became two. Two became ten.
